This is Part 1 of 2 videos giving detailed information about MLM and Affiliate Marketing so anyone who is trying to decide which one they would like to choose can make an educated decision based on the information given in this video. In this video, I discuss mostly MLM and in the second video I focus more on Affiliate Marketing. If you don’t know, MLM stands for Multi Level Marketing. It’s called Multi Level Marketing because you recruit people into your business and the people you recruit also do the same which creates income on different levels beneath you. Here are five strategies that can turn you into a twitter marketing traffic machine.

* Keep it Real. Be a real person and share your thoughts, dreams, frustrations and others things on twitter. It just doesn’t always have to be about your next business proposal. Learn to connect with people beyond the business realm and be social. After all isn’t that what social marketing is about?

* Be Controversial. There’s a reason why so many celebreties and music stars get attention, it’s because they understand the value of getting attention. Being controversial attracks attention, so be opinionated in your “tweets” and people will both love you and hate you for it, but in the end you’ll gain more followers.

* Tweet about Nothing. Here’s something to think about, not everyone visits twitter to do business, in fact most just head there to have fun. So why not do the same thing? Make your tweets interesting and people will take notice.

* Yoda for your thoughts. Everyone loves positive thinking quotes and people go nuts over these kinds of “tweets”. In the end you just might spark some attention or make someone’s day because of a quote or two you posted.

* Be Cool Man. Again, you have to realize that no one come to twitter to be sold something so remember this when it comes to your twitter marketing approach. Most people come to twitter to post about a funny video they saw on Youtube, or to comment about the news and just plain hang out. So why not give them what they want. Surf around find something worth posting about and then “tweet” about it.

The whole idea behind this article on twitter marketing is to teach you that to be a successful marketer using twitter or any other social marketing site, you need to forget about what it is your selling, and be a real a person. Socialize, have fun and interact with others. In the end you gain all the traffic you want to your website not because of what you tried to “pitch” but because of who you are.

Many people feel that having a linear income is a proof of stability. This is the reason why many are stuck with their 40-hour work week. If you are new to affiliate marketing, you can liken it to being a sales agent. The difference is that you can do affiliate marketing from your own home and at your own leisure time. It is fast becoming the most sought after home business for the people who want to earn more than what their linear incomes can bring.

Just like land-based merchants, the merchants who sell their products online need a way to reach their customers. But instead of doing an extensive marketing campaign, they just resort to paying their voluntary sales agents or affiliates for every customer they bring to their site.

There are many ways an affiliate marketer can promote a merchant’s products. They can use their own websites as a place to promote these products or they can simply write articles with embedded affiliate links and have these articles published in many article directories. The idea of residual income enlivens any affiliate because with it, a stable income can be made from home. It also encourages the affiliate to vigorously promote the merchant’s products for the long-term benefits it can bring them.

With money coming in each month from residual income, affiliate can now bring their business to a higher level through expansion. Now, they don’t have to focus their efforts on one campaign only. And with the checks rolling in monthly, they need not worry about taking the risk of launching another affiliate marketing campaign.
