The holy grail of affiliate marketing is to find that one product or niche that generates them a huge income overnight. Although there have been cases when this has happened, it is very rare an unlikely to happen to you. The real secret is learning and more importantly continued learning, with dedication and hard work.

There are a number of affiliate marketing tactics that are widely used with success by many affiliates today. The aim of this article is to give you three useful tips to sell more products, put more money in your pocket, and most importantly survive online.

1. Each product should have it’s own unique web page. Don’t just put all of your products together on one page just to save time and money on web hosting. You’re site should focus on a single product or service or theme.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You should include articles about your products on a separate page. Make the page look attractive and compelling by highlighting the benefits and features of the product. Use a string call to action such as a “buy now” or “order now” button. It is also important to have a strong headline at the top of the page which generates interest in the article making the readers want more information.

2. You can offer a free report as a download to your readers. This then allows you to use an auto responder service to then create follow up emails to your subscriber. You then have their email address and can market to them as much as you want, until they unsubscribe. It is best to give the reader good content so they will stay subscribed.

Two things can happen with your website. The prospect leaves the site without purchase, or you make a sale. By using an auto responder you can then build a relationship with the prospect, provide them with useful content and continue to market your product to them. Make sure the content is not all about the product and try to not make a sales pitch.

Try to focus on how using your product can make their life a whole lot easier. People want to know what results they are going to get so focus on the desired outcome your product will achieve. Try to avoid using the word free when sending an email. This will be picked up by the spam filters and will send the email to the spam box, which will result in your email not getting read.

3. You want to get the type of traffic or searches that is relevant to your product. If someone is searching for dog training and your website is about weight loss, then they prospect will most probably leave without purchase. Write articles that can be published in e-zines and e-reports. This allows you to focus on getting people who are already interested in your product or service.

A good start would be to write a minimum of 2 articles per week. They should be at least 300-600 words in length. By writing new articles every day and publishing them on relevant websites, you can very easily generate 100 visors to your site every day. The more articles you write, the more visitors you will get and as a result, the more sales you will make. Remember that only about 1% of visitors will buy, but the more visitors come, the more sales to you.
